He creates a tiny theater, using the box from a pair of Sorel winter boots, a scrap of velvet from my sewing box, and a cast of origami heroes. He uses the theater to entertain the neighbor’s child.
Later, we hang the origami soldiers, princes and kings from the ceiling of the mudroom, and watch as they dance when the door is opened. We kiss beneath them, heroes in our own fantasy.
